First, a battery can be recharged at constant current. The charging voltage reaches the max. Value, the battery discharged actively loaded, etc. The cells are formed by the time. This therefore extends the battery life.
To refresh mode, the 1000 AL has also an automatic charge mode course one (can manually switched from Refresh to Charge).
An ideal device to keep batteries from cars, sport boats, motorcycles, vintage cars, agricultural machinery or trailers over the winter or longer-life active. The device can for example for overwintering of the battery, always remain connected to the battery.
