6. Newsletter
In the following paragraphs, we will state the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, sending and statistical evaluation procedure as well as your right of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree in receiving the newsletter and the details described below.
Content of the newsletter: We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with promotional information (“Newsletter”) only with the consent of the beneficiaries or a legal permission. The signing-up to the newsletter is based on the contents of the newsletter as specifically described and decisive for the consent of the users. In addition, our newsletters contain the following information: products, information and promotions and offers from our company.
Double opt-in and logging: The registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. With this procedure the customer will receive an e-mail after registration, in which he will be asked to confirm his registration. This confirmation is necessary so that it is not possible to log on with a foreign e-mail address. The registration for the newsletter is recorded in order to be able to prove the registration process has been fulfilled according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the login and the confirmation time, as well as the IP address. The changes of the data are also passed on and stored with the newsletter distributing service.
Newsletter distributing service: The newsletter is sent by „[NAME, ADRESSE DES VERSANDDIENSTLEISTERS ANGEBEN]“ (hereinafter referred to as “distributor”). The data protection regulations of the distributor can be viewed here: [[BITTE LINK ANGEBEN].
The e-mail address of our newsletter recipient, as well as all connected data, described in the context of this statement is stored on the servers of the distributor. The distributor uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, the distributor may use this data to optimize or improve his own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of the dispatch and the presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, the distributor will not use the data of our newsletter recipients to generate own mailings or pass it on to third parties.
Registration data: To register for the newsletter, it is sufficient to specify your e-mail address. Optionally, please provide the following data: First and last name for the personalization of the newsletter, date of birth, sex and business to adapt the contents of the newsletters to the interests of our readers.
Statistics, surveys and analysis: The newsletters contain a “web-beacon”. A pixel-sized file that is retrieved by the server of the distributor when the newsletter is opened. The file contains technical information, such as information about the used browser and the operating system, as well as the IP address and time of retrieval. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour by means of their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times. For the statistical survey it also includes information, whether the newsletters has been opened, when it was opened and which links in the mail were clicked. Due to technical reasons this information is automatically assigned to individual newsletter recipients and is not done with the intention, neither by us nor by the distributor, to monitor the individual recipient. The collected data helps us to recognize the reading habits of our readers and as a result adapt the contents according to the reading interests.
Termination / Revocation: The customer may revoke his consent and terminate the receipt of our newsletter at any time. At the same time, the reader data and the statistical analyzes will be deleted in the data base of the distributor. You will find a link to the termination of the newsletters at the end of each newsletter.
7. Integration of services and third-party content
It may happen that within our online offer, third-party content or services from third-party websites, such as maps or fonts, are integrated. The inclusion of third-party content always assumes that the third-party providers can see the IP address of the users, as they could not otherwise send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required for the display of these contents. Furthermore, third-party content providers may set their own cookies and process the data of the users for their own purposes. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We will use this kind of content as sparsely as possible and in a data-avoiding manner as well as select reliable third-party providers in regard to data security.
The following illustration provides an overview of used third-party providers as well as their contents, their links to their data protection policies with further information on the processing of data and which may, as already mentioned, contain possibilities for cancellation and termination (so-called opt-out):
– External fonts from Google, Inc., https://www.google.com/fonts (“Google Fonts”). The Google Fonts are integrated by a server call at Google (usually in the USA).

The data stored with us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for its specific purpose and when the deletion is in accordance with legal requirements.
